Petal Storm began as a limited-edition collaboration between London perfumery Miller Harris and McQueens Flowers, born when Miller Harris's chief executive walked through the florist's shop, workshop and studio and was struck by how many different scents lived there. The candle captures cut stems, foliage and the water used for flowers, opening with bright bergamot, mandarin and neroli lifted by mimosa, black and pink pepper and a note of dew. Water lily, gardenia, wisteria and muguet form a moist, petal-soft heart, settling onto a base of amber and musk. The effect is a cool, airy floral bouquet with a gentle peppery sparkle, poured into an elegant ceramic pot that can be reused as a vase once the candle is finished.
