Ani X takes Nishane's vanilla-led Ani and opens the windows. Where the original was dense and creamy, this reinterpretation begins with a splash of bergamot, lemon and juicy honeydew melon, sharpened by cardamom, blue ginger and pink pepper. The effect is closer to a sunlit terrace than a candlelit room.

Lavender, sage, green apple and blackcurrant form a green, slightly tart heart, with rose and patchouli adding depth. The base keeps the vanilla that made Ani popular, now framed by cedarwood, cashmere wood, ambergris and white musk. As an Extrait de Parfum it lasts well, moving from bright and fresh to smooth and woody over the course of a day.
